This is my collection of Fashion brands such as Barbie, Sindy, Rainbow High, etc.
Ernestine Walker
Ernestine is my first Barbie as an adult. I fancied a Barbie for setting up a room box to show off some of the contents of the Fashion and Brand mystery balls.
She is the Barbie Fashionista #105 "Bold Stripes" 2019 doll with a custom Made-to-Move body.
I really wanted Barbie with an Afro as I think poofy hair is just amazing - I think people with straight hair tend to find curly hair fascinating - and I wanted a flexible body so she could do more than just stand in a room. I couldn't hit Buy-It-Now fast enough when this custom popped up on eBay as she was exactly what I was looking for.
She's named for a girl I knew in high school - one of the most powerful people I've ever known - and for author and activist, Alice Malsenior Tallulah-Kate Walker - probably best known for her novel, The Color Purple.
Jacinthe Hurston
Rainbow High Series 5 "Michelle St. Charles" 2023
I really do try not to pick up new collections, but after passing by the Rainbow High display in B&M every Tuesday for several months, I finally broke down and bought Jacinthe.
She had such a cool look and fab accessories that I couldn't hold out. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) for me, I started noticing the RH dolls just as the company began its decline in quality, so I haven't had much interest in the newer dolls.
My standards are fairly basic: articulation, fabric clothes, and certain je ne sais quoi.
Her first name is obvious, her last name is in honour of Zora Neale Hurston, the author best known for Their Eyes Were Watching God.

The Rubicon was crossed with Jacinthe, so it wasn't long before I started seriously eyeing up Magnolia. She just looked so sweet.

I picked up Rowan from one of the junk stalls at the Scone Yesteryear Vintage Vehicle show in 2025.
I loved her hair and her shirt. She's been on a couple of adventures with us as my photo dolly.

Raven was an eBay purchase. I really like the monochrome Shadow High dolls. They're just kind of trippy.
Her hair needs a wash and a style and I wouldn't mind tracking down the rest of her outfit.

Monster High Great Scarrier Reef Hissters Series "Peri And Pearl Serpentine" 2015
These two were another Scone Yesteryear purchase - I think 2023 or 24.
They needed a little grooming, but were just too fun to pass up.
Mariposita Caléndula
Monster High G3 Series 10 Core Dolls "Skelita Calavaras" 2025
I've been eyeballing this doll for awhile at B&M until I finally gave in and brought her home.
She's beautifully detailed and came with a bunch of fun accessories. I think her purse and little coffin phone are my favourite.
