Julip Identification

It's not uncommon to find various small and fluffy animals around a stable.

Large Rabbit & Guinea Pig

The earliest of these molds was not necessarily an invited guest - the Stable Rat was a fairly short-lived stable pest from the 1950s. His tiny fan club is hoping eagerly for a revival of this mold, or at least something similar.

A small wooden mouse, though not produced by Julip, was included in certain accessory sets and sold through the catalogue.

An Unofficial Crouching Rabbit

A pair of rabbits, one sitting, one crouching, were produced around 2007/08 under the Julip name, but were not officially sold by Julip.

Officially, the first rabbit was introduced in November of 2014. There were two molds in the beginning, a large and a small rabbit, both sculpted by Mr. Richard.

Half of the Small Rabbit Mold

The Large Rabbit is slightly longer and more detailed with distinctly defined ears.

The Small Rabbit is more compact, slightly shorter in length, with a more pointed face, smaller ears, and the feet and tail aren't as distinct.

In the summer of 2015 a second version of the Small Rabbit was sculpted to replace the Small Rabbit mold after it broke; the feet and tail of the new mold are more distinct and the ears are larger.

Customizations such as long hair and lop ears can be requested.

Being a complete glutton for punishment, Mr. Richard created a Guinea Pig, which was released in 2016. Rough and smooth coat versions can be ordered.
